HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1974-134MW CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth. Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of March, 1974. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils, Hunt and Spaeth. The following members were absent: Councilman Seibold. t� Councilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74-134 COMBINING PROJECTS NO. 123, 123-001 AND 303 DECLARING COST AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT -WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of the East Medicine Lake Area between 26th Avenue and 28th Avenue from Orleans Lane to County Road 18 by the installation of water main, a two inch mat overlay on all streets within said area, and necessary appur- tenances, and WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of 28th Avenue North between approximately 190 feet east of Orleans Lane, west to Quaker Lane by the construction of sanitary sewer, street restoration and necessary appurtenances, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that, these projects shall be combined for the purpose of spreading the assessments thereof, and WHEREAS, the contract price for such improvement is $135,175.77 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improve- ment amount to $34,625.30 so that the total cost of said improvement will be $169,801.07 and of this amount the City will pay $0.00 as its share or the cost. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1) The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $169,801.07. 2) It is further determined that the following charges for water trunk main, pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced pro- ject shall be applied to the existing land use zoning: WATER Area Charge Residential $225 per 1/2 acre or dwelling unit Commercial -Industrial $675 per acre Resnluiion No: 14-134 Page Two �s 3) The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation as provided by law, ane she shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in tf.a office of the clerk for public inspection. 4) The Clerk shall, upon completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resr,lution was duly seconded by Councilman,Spaeth, and upon, vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils, Pint and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: None. Whereupon the R(:solution was declared duly passed and adopted.
