Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of March,
1974. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils,
Hunt and 'Spaeth. The following members were absent: Councilman Seibold.
Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 74-131
DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR PROJECT 107
WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of Vicksburg
Lane from County Road No. 6 to approximately 4,500 feet north, by the
installation of streets and necessary appurtenances and the contract
price for such improvement is $147,929.39 and the expenses incurred or
to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $84,003.82
so that the total cost of said improvement will be $231,933.21 and of
this amount the City will pay $20,134.59 as its share of the cost,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH:
1) That the cost of such improvement to be specially assessed
Is hereby declared to be $211,798.62.
2) The City Clerk with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall
forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed
for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or
parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to
cash valuation as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of
such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection.
3) The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment,
notify the Council thereof.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Neils, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils and Spaeth. The following voted
against or abstained: Councilman Hunt stepped down from the table. Whereupon
the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
