VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 5th day of
November, 1973. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen
Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth. The following members were absent: None.
Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 73-439
WHEREAS, Vicksburg Lane is designated as a Major Thoroughfare on the
Village Thoroughfare Guide Plan and is also a Municipal State Aid Street, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Plymouth contemplates the upgrading and improve-
ment of Vicksburg Lane between County 15 and County Road 6, and
WHEREAS, in order to establish the most desirable grade for this street,
it would be advantageous to have the railroad tracks removed at the crossing
of the Chicago -Northwestern tracks with Vicksburg Lane, and
WHEREAS, the Chicago -Northwestern Railroad has previously removed said
railroad tracks west of Vicksburg Lane during 1973, and
WHEREAS, the railroad crossing does not serve any property west of
Vicksburg Lane and therefore the crossing is no longer necessary,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH, that the Public Service Commission is hereby petitioned
by the Village of Plymouth to remove the railroad grade crossing where the
Chicago -Northwestern railroad tracks crosses Vicksburg Lane within the
Village of Plymouth.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Seibold, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth.
The following voted against or abstained: None. Whereupon the Resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the
Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared
the foregoing extract of the minutes of a regular meeting of the Village
Council of said Village held on November 5, 1973, with the original thereof
on file in my office, and the same is a full, true and complete transcript
therefrom.
