HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1973-369VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 4th day of September, 1973. The following members were present: Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth. The following members were absent: Mayor Hilde. Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73-369 DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR W® ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION CHARGES WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 18.271 M.S.A. the Weed Inspector of the Village of Plymouth has caused the destruction and eradication' of noxious weeds on certain lands within said Village, and a determination has been made that certain charges thereto have not been paid as provided by law, and the total amount of such work amounts to $3 049.39 and the incidental expenses incurred in said work amount to $650.56 so that the total amount is $3,793.73; and of this amount the Village will pay $0.00 as its share of the cost, NOW, Tt'WWORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH that 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $3,793.73. 2. The Village Clerk with the Assistance of the Village Engineer and Weed Inspector shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspect 3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth.
