HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1973-343VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 20th day of August, 1473• The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth. iNo members were absent. fCouncilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and `moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73-343 WHEREAS, the Village has in its employ James G. Willis in the position of Village Manager,. and WHEREAS, James G Willis is and will be rendering valuable services to the Village.; and WHEREAS, the Village -has considered the establishment of a Deferred Compensation Plan for.the Village Manager, James G. Willis made available to the Village and to the Village Manager by the International City Management Association Retirement Corporation; and WHEREAS, certain income tax.benefits accrue to the Village Manager through participation in the said plan, and WHEREAS, the Village recognizes that the tax advantages of the said plan to the Village Manager constitutes a benefit to the Village by allowing the Village to offer an additional "fringe benefit" in recruiting and retaining qualified personnel in its employment at no cost or charge to the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth that the Village establish the said Deferred Compensation Plan for the Village Manager, James G. Willis . and agree to the Trust Agreement with the International City Management Association Retirement Corporation and the Deferred Compensation Employment Agreement.
