HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1973-307Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 6th day of August, 1973. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen -Hunt, Seibold and Spaeth. The following members were absent: Councilman Neils. Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73-307 WHEREAS, the Plymouth Village Council authorized the presentation of a Storm Drainage Plan for the Village of Plymouth on January 3, 1972 and WHEREAS, said report prepared by Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates dated March, 1973 has been submitted to this Council and WHEREAS, the plan indicates proposed conveyance structure systems, including types, sizes and routes, the specific details of which shall be finally determined at the time the land develops, depending upon the approved development plans and such other conditions as may then exist, and WHEREAS, copies of the proposed Storm Drainage Plan were sent to the following agencies or their representatives on the dates specified: Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission (Barr Engineering) - 2/23/73 Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (Hickok b Associates - 2/23/73 and - 4/02/73 Metropolitan Council - 5/11/73 Department of Natural Resourses - 5/14/73 Elm Creek Protection and Management Commission - 7/11/73 and WHEREAS, the Village Council and staff have reviewed said Storm Drainage Plan, NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH that the Storm Drainage Plan prepared by Bonestroo. Rosene, Anderlik b Associates dated March, 1973 be and the same is hereby adopted as the Storm Drainage Plan for the Village of Plymouth. and 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that while it is understood implementation of the Storm Drainage Plan will take place over a number of years through a variety of projects. the Council and staff shall pay particular concern to (i) maximizing the surface drainage and ponding in such projects, as opposed to constructing conveyance structures, to promote all possible environmental benefits; (2) maintaining close liaison with the various watershed districts operating within the Village of Plymouth to insure that the highest degree of coordinated efforts in providing for storm sewer drainage management can be realized so as to provide for the impoundment and ponding of the maximum drainage possible; and (3) reviewing the Village Storm Drainage Plan period- ically to insure its conformity to the Metropolitan drainage plan as well as such other local watershed and community plans which may affect it. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmen Hunt, Seibold and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: None. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. STATE OF MINNESOTA ) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN ) SS. VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the foregoing extract of the minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said Village held on August 6, 1973, with the original thereof on file in nay office, and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom.
