HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1973-153Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting' of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 16th day of April 1973. The follow- ing members were present: Mayor Hilde. Councilmen Hunt, Spaeth, Seibold and Neils The following members were absent: None aa� *w* Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolu- tion and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73-153 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the painting of the exterior and interior of Elevated Water Tower No. 1, Project No. 501-501-901-010, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: NAME - BASE BID SAND REMOVAL ALTERNATE BID BOND Abhe A Svoboda $11,230.00 $110.00/C.Y. $3,400.00 10% Brown Sandblasting A $12,345.00 ---- no bid 10% Painting Co. Larson Tank"Co.., Inc. $16,350.00 Included in no bid 10% Base Bid Wallace_& Tiernan no bid no bid $2.935.00 Cert. Check (Budget Amount is $25.000) WHEREAS, it appears that Abhe and Svoboda of Wesl: St. Paul. Minnesota, Is the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications for 'painting the tower, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH as follows: 1. The Mayor and -Clerk are hereby authorized and directed -to enter into the attached Contract with Abhe and,Svoboda of West St. Paul,, Minneso*a for the painting of the M.I.P. Water Tower in accordance with Pians and Specifications therefore approved by the Village Coun cil and on file in the office of the Village Clerk at the low bid base price of $11,230.00 and $110.00 per cubic yard for sand removal now present in tank. The alternate bid is not accepted. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: -Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt.
