HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1973-064i r, VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 5th day of February, 1973. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Seibold and Neils. The follow'ng members were absent: Councilman Spaeth. Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73-64 WHEREAS, the Village Council by Resolution No. 72-100 adopted March 6, 1972 directed that the Village staff order the closing of the driveway con- nection to 36th Avenue from the Texaco Station located at 36th Avenue at Kilmer Lane when the vehicle count exceeded 4,000 vehicles per day, and WHEREAS, the staff has recommended that this access be closed because the vehicle count at this location now exceeds 4,000 vehicles per day, and WHEREAS. this Council recognizes that the probability of ready access to the subject station from Kilmer Lane may be impeded if the 36th Avenue connection is closed at this time. and WHEREAS, the adjacent bus operations on Kilmer Lane presently compounds the problem of access to the station from Kilmer Lane, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH that this Council re -affirms its concern regarding the public health, safety and welfare due to the continuation of the access from this station to 36th Avenue North, and FURTHER that due to the present peculiar extenuating circumstances in- volved in ingress and egress from Kilmer Lane to said station due to the operation of the adjacent bus garage, that the action directed in Resolution No. 72-100 be postponed until such time as an appropriate resolution to the ingress and egress on Kilmer Lane is found. if The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was (duly seconded by Councilman Neils, and upon vote being taken ,i thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde. (Councilmen Hunt, Seibold and Neils. The following voted against or abstained: None. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly ";passed and adopted.
