R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR THE
V ICKSBURG L ANE AND F ERNDALE R OAD P AVEMENT R EHABILITATION P ROJECT
(ST199005)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Vicksburg Lane and Ferndale
Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to
State law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

C.S. McCrossan Construction Inc. $4,348,866.21 (Base + Alt B)
Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $4,490,661.00 (Base + Alt B)
Engineer’s Estimate $4,252,741.61 (Base + Alt B)
WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, Inc., out of Shakopee, MN, is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Valley Paving, Inc. of
Shakopee, Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The appropriate City Officials are authorized and directed to enter into the contract with
Valley Paving, Inc. out of Shakopee, MN, in the name of the City of Plymouth for the
Base Bid plus Alternate B of the Vicksburg Lake and Ferndale Road Pavement
Rehabilitation Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by
the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of
$4,104,503.05.
2. The project shall include construction in the amount of $4,104,503.05, easements in the
amount of $59,500.00, and 15% for design, administration, and contingency in the
amount of $615,675.47 for a total project cost of $4,779,678.52.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the project would be funded from the following sources:
assessments in the amount of $443,697.74, the Street Reconstruction Fund in the amount of
$2,653,439.46, the Municipal State Aid Fund in the amount of $650,000.00, the Sewer Fund in
the amount of $11,960.00, the Water Fund in the amount of $106,729.21, the Water Resources
Fund in the amount of $32,500.00, the City of Orono in the amount of $349,002.00, the City of
Wayzata in the amount of $64,419.67, the Parks Replacement fund in the amount of
$314,470.95 and the Park Dedication Fund in the amount of $153,459.49.
