R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-083
R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR THE
2020 S ANITARY S EWER L INING P ROJECT (SS209001)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2020 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project
(SS209001), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids
were received complying with the advertisement:

Hydro – Klean, LLC $744,004.50
Insituform Technologies $755,135.70
SAK Construction $826,928.30
Visu – Sewer, Inc. $877,665.10
Granite Inliner, LLC $878,564.00
Veit & Company $940,055.00
Engineers Estimate $924,212.50
WHEREAS, it appears that Hydro Klean, LLC out of Des Moines, IA is the lowest responsible
bidder and complies with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Hydro Klean, LLC of Des
Moines, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into the contract
with Hydro Klean, LLC out of Des Moines, IA for the 2020 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project
(SS209001) according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council
and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $744,004.50.
2. The project shall include 5% for design, administration, and contingency in the amount of
$37,200.23 for a total project cost of $781,204.73.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for this project shall be from the Sewer Fund in the
amount of $781,204.73.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 10th day of March, 2020.
