HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2019-332 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-332 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE 2020 C OMPENSATION AND C LASSIFICATION P LAN FOR N ON-R EPRESENTED E MPLOYEES WHEREAS, the classification and compensation plan has been updated to align with the 2020 budget which has been submitted to the City Council for review and approval; and WHEREAS, the 2020 pay plan reflects that there will be 27 pay periods in the calendar year; and WHEREAS, non-represented police and fire personnel are required to wear and maintain uniforms. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the following actions are approved: 1. 2020 Classification and Compensation Plan effective December 14, 2019 and the 2020 health and dental insurance contributions levels for non-union employees. 2. Three percent general wage adjustment to the City Manager’s 2020 salary and amend his employment agreement to reflect that any amount over the salary cap waiver will be placed in an annual leave bank. The hours in the annual leave bank will be withdrawn by the City Manager at the time of retirement at his then current rate of pay. 3. Annual clothing allowance of $1,025 for 2020 for regular sworn non-union police and fire personnel. 4. Changes in the City’s 2020 staffing levels: FTE Change Position Department 1 Communications Specialist Administrative Services 1 Maintenance Worker – Parks and Forestry/PIC Parks & Recreation Parks & Recreation 1 Maintenance Worker – Parks and Forestry /PCC Parks & Recreation Aquatic Coordinator Specialist (temporary to regular) 0.8 Parks & Recreation Office Support Representative (part-time to full-time) 0.5 Public Safety -0.2 Public Safety Education Specialist 3 Firefighters Public Safety Graduate Engineer 1 Public Works Solid Waste -0.5 Public Works 5. Direct the City Manager to proceed with the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the compensation plan and its components. APPROVED by the City Council on this 10th day of December, 2019.
