HomeMy WebLinkAboutHousing & Redevelopment Authority Resolution 5EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE riTY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was duly held at the Council Chambers in Plymouth, Minnesota, on Monday, the 26th day of July, 1976, at 11:55 P.M. The following members were present: Chairman Hilde, Commissioners Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth, and the following were absent: none. W** Commissioner Seibold introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 5 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL HRA TO APPLY FOR REHABILITATION GRANT FUNDS FOR IMPLEMENTATION WITHIN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth desires to assist low income homeowners is in making repairs to their homes for the purpose of correcting defects affecting directly the safety, habitability, or energy usage of the property; and, WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has funds to be used for such purposes, and will accept applications from housing and redevelopment authori- ties desiring to administer these Home Improvement Grant Program funds; and, WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has been duly ori,.-iized pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 473.06, Subd. 3 and Minnesota Laws 1975; U apter 13, Section 6, Subd. 3; Section 21, Subd. 1; and Section 24, and has all of the powers and duties of a housing and redevelopment authority pursuant to Laws 1975, Chapter 13, Section 24 under the provisions of the Municipal Housing and Redevelopment Act, Minnesota Statutes Section 462.411 to 462.711, and acts amendatory thereof. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Metropolitan Council is hereby requested to include the City of Plymouth in an application for state Home Improvement Grant Program funds, and that upon approval of such application, the City and the Metropolitan Council will enter into an agreement for operating the program within the City. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Neils, and the following voted in favor thereof: Chairman Hilde, Commissioners Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth, and the following voted against the same: none.
