R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-297
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING S TATE OF M INNESOTA J OINT P OWERS A GREEMENT
WITH THE C ITY OF P LYMOUTH ON BEHALF OF ITS A UTHORIZED R EPRESENTATIVE
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth on behalf of its Authorized Representative, desires to enter into
a Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal
Apprehension (MN BCA) to receive funding to implement an adapter to make its records management
system compatible with Minnesota National Incident-Based Reporting System requirements (MN NIBRS)
for which the City of Plymouth is eligible; and
WHEREAS, City Manager Dave Callister or his successor, is designated the Authorized
Representative for the City of Plymouth. The Authorized Representative is also authorized to sign any
subsequent amendment or agreement that may be required by the State of Minnesota to maintain the
agreement with the State; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth’s police records management vendor, Central Square/LETG, will
be working with the MN BCA and the City of Plymouth on the MN NIBRS implementation, and
WHEREAS, Jeffry Wosje, Mayor, and Dave Callister, City Manager, for the City of Plymouth are
authorized to sign the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreement by and between the State of
Minnesota acting through its Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the City
of Plymouth on behalf of its authorized representative is approved. A copy of the Joint Powers
Agreement is attached to this resolution and made a part of it.
