HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2009-017CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2009-017 RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT AND ORDER PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS 2009 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT KINGSVIEW HEIGHTS AND CIRCLE PARK AREAS CITY PROJECT NO. 9101 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted December 9, 2008, a report has been prepared with with reference to the improvement of The Kingsview Heights neighborhood; located north of Rockford Road, east of, and including Minnesota Lane N and Kingsview Lane N., west of Fernbrook Lane N., excluding Harbor Lane N., and south of 45th Ave. N., excluding 44th Place N., and The Circle Park Neighborhood; Shenandoah Lane N., south of the Luce Line Trail, 9t1' Avenue N. from Shenandoah Lane N. to Kingsview Lane N., including Minnesota Lane N., Niagara Lane N. and Lanewood Lane N. from Gleason Lake Drive to 9t1' Avenue, and Juneau Lane N. from Gleason Lake Drive to 4th Avenue N.; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the reconstruction of streets by the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, watermain valve replacement and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on January 13, 2009; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, costeffective, and feasible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated 2009 Street Reconstruction Project, City Project No. 9101 for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $5,993,000. 2. The City of Plymouth Engineering Department shall prepare plans and specifications for the 2009 Street Reconstruction Project. Adopted by the City Council on January 13, 2009.
