MIiiUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOUSING
AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
April 24, 1978
A regular meeting of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Plymouth,
Minnesota was held on the 24th day of April, 1978 at 6:35 p.m. at the City Council
Chambers in the City of Plymouth, Minnesota. The following members of the Authority
were present: ChairRan Spaeth, Commissioners Ault, Bakke, Hunt and Neils.
None were absent.
Theme were also present the following members of the City staff: Associate
Planner Dale and Secretary Garrity.
Chairman Spaeth read the call of the meeting. It was moved by Commissioner
Hunt, seconded by Commissioner Bakke, to approve the minutes of the March 27, 1978
regular meeting as submitted.
Motion carried, four ayes. Commissioner Neils abstained.
It was moved by Cominissioner Hunt, seconded by Commissioner Neils, to accept
Mr. Dale's Section 8 Progress Report.
Motion carried, five ayes.
Comimissioner Hunt asked Mr. Dale to investigate rental assistance recipients
to determine if any of these persons have a history of walking out on their rental
contracts.
Mr. Dale reviewed the Housing Rehabilitation Progress Report.
Mr. Dale reviewed the Barbara Jefferson situation. It was moved by Com-
missioner Neils, seconded by Commissioner Hunt, to direct staff to consult with
the City Attorney and review the City ordinances to determine those changes
necessary to allow the City to assess the homesteaded property owner the charges
for sewer and water connection.
Motion carried, five ayes.
It was moved by Commissioner Hunt, seconded by Commissioner Neils, to extend
the lease with Joe Ploumen for the property at 1801 West Medicine Lake Drive for
another six-month period.
Motion carried, five ayes.
Commissioner Neils inquired if Mr. Plouman would be willing to enter into
a one-year lease at the present time. Mr. Plouman replied he would be willing
to sign a year's lease.
It was moved by Commissioner Neils, seconded by Commissir..ner Hunt, not to
change the status of the property at 1801 West Medicine Lake Drive if the present
occupant is willing to enter into a ane -year lease agreement.
0 Motion carried, five ayes.
