R ESOLUTION A PPROVING A DDITIONAL F UNDING FOR THE P URCHASE O NE
S INGLE A XLE D UMP T RUCK AND T WO T ANDEM A XLE D UMP
T RUCKS W ITH S NOW/I CE C ONTROL R ELATED E QUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and 2018 budget include the purchase
of one replacement single axle and two tandem axle dump truck with related equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Central Equipment Fund reserves included the purchase of a replacement asphalt
spray patch unit however replacement shall be with one tandem axle unit; and
WHEREAS, the City may make purchases off of state contracts; and
WHEREAS, Nuss Truck Group, dba Twin City Mack, has a contract with the State for these truck
chassis meeting the City’s specifications, Contract No. 124649; and
WHEREAS, Tow Master Inc. has a contract with the State for snow plow truck components and
accessories meeting the City’s specifications, Contract No. 126502; and
WHEREAS, the disposal of existing assets; the two single axles and spray patch unit, shall be through
auction in 2018; and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized and approved expenditures of $746,544.15 on February 27,
2018 for these trucks and related equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that additional funding to purchase of two current model Tandem Axle Truck Chassis and one
current model Single Axle Truck Chassis from Nuss Truck Group, dba Twin City Mack, and the related
equipment to complete the trucks with hauling and snow plowing/ice control equipment from Towmaster
Inc. approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the additional cost of $14,446.62 will come from the Central
Equipment account (600-70-760-76001-8100.500).
