City Council Special Meeting
August 20, 2019
Mayor Wosje called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on August 20, 2019.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Wosje, Councilmembers Prom, Davis, Roehl, McGregor, and
Willis.
ABSENT: Councilmember Carroll.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Administrative Services Director Hokkanen, Deputy
Director of Parks and Recreation Northway, Parks and Recreation Director Evans, Community
Development Director Juetten, Creek Center Manager Fleck, Recreation Manager Hemp,
Economic Development Manager Parr, Finance Manager Bursheim, Supervising Accountant
McMackins, City Engineer LaBounty, Public Works Director Thompson, Parks and Forestry
Manager Brunelle, Public Safety Director Goldstein, Fire Chief Coppa, Deputy Police Chief
Fadden, Administrative Service Manager Ward, Street and Utility Manager Pauman, Battalion
Chief Etzel, and City Clerk Engdahl. Also present was lobbyist Ann Lenczewski.
2020/2021 General Fund Budget Overview
Staff presented the proposed 2020/2021 general fund budget and answered the Council's
questions. The majority of the Council stated they support the proposed 4.98% tax levy increase.
Future Study Sessions
The Council cancelled the budget study session that was scheduled on August 27 at 5:30 p.m.
Adiournment
Mayor Wosje adjourned the meeting at 8:25 p.m
