R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-231
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR THE
B ASS L AKE P LAZA L IFT S TATION I MPROVEMENTS (SS180001)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Bass Lake Plaza Lift Station Improvements, bids were
received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids were received complying with the
advertisement:
Contractor Base Bid Bid Alternate 1 Base Bid + Bid Alternate 1
Pember Companies, Inc. $373,165.00 ($10,000.00) $363,165.00
Minger Construction Co. Inc. $457,285.00 ($20,000.00) $437,285.00
G.M. Contracting, Inc. $691,451.00 ($300,000.00) $391,451.00
Engineers Estimate $540,000.00 $540,000.00
WHEREAS, it appears that Pember Companies, Inc., from Menomonie, Wisconsin, is the lowest
responsible bidder and complies with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Pember Companies, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into the contract for
the bid with Pember Companies, Inc. from Menomonie, Wisconsin in the name of the City of Plymouth
for the Bass Lake Plaza Lift Station Improvements according to the plans and specifications therefore
approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $373,165.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this project shall be from the sewer fund in the
amount of $391,823.25.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 13th day of August, 2019.
