City Council Special Meeting
June 25, 2019
Mayor Wosje called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on June 25, 2019.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Wosje, Councilmembers Prom, Carroll, Davis, Roehl, McGregor,
and Willis.
ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Administrative Services Director Hokkanen, Public
Works Director Thompson, Deputy Police Chief Fadden, Public Safety Director Goldstein, Fire
Chief Coppa, Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation Northway, Parks and Recreation Director
Evans, Community Development Director Juetten, Deputy Fire Chief Dreelan, Batttalion Chief
Evenson, City Engineer LaBounty, Facilities Supervisor Mehrkens, and City Clerk Engdahl.
County Road 47 Corridor Study Update
Public Works Director Thompson and Chad Larson, consultant with Kimley-Horn, provided an
update on the County Road 47 Corridor Study.
Fire Station Needs Assessment and Desien Recommendation Study
Staff and consultant presented the Fire Station Needs Assessment and Design Recommendation
Study. This study outlined the needs and potential costs for renovations to fire stations 2 and 3.
City Manager Callister noted there would be the option in 2022 to pay off the debt for the police
station which is approximately $600,000 per year. This amount could be allocated towards the
fire station improvements in order to keep the debt stable.
Council voiced their support to start planning for these improvements in the budget and CIP
processes.
Future Study Sessions
The Council scheduled the following study sessions:
• September 5 at 5:30 p.m.: Review schematic design for Plymouth Creek Center and
consider approving design and construction documents at the September 10 regular
Council meeting
• September 10 at 5:30 p.m.: Economic Development Advisory Commission discussion

commissions discussion
Adjournment
Mayor Wosje adjourned the meeting at 6:57 p.m.
