R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-188
R ESOLUTION A GREEING TO THE T ERMS AND C ONDITIONS OF S TATE T RANSPORTATION
F UND (L OCAL R OAD I MPROVEMENT P ROGRAM) G RANT A GREEMENT AND
A UTHORIZING THE E XECUTION OF G RANT A GREEMENT FOR THE
CSAH 9 / I-494 I NTERCHANGE P ROJECT (ST190003)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth applied to the Commissioner of Transportation
for a grant from the Minnesota State Transportation Fund for Local Road Improvement;
and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation has given notice that funding for
this project is available; and
WHEREAS, the amount of the grant has been determined to be $4,860,000 by
reason of lowest responsible bid;
WHEREAS, on May 14, 2019, the City of Plymouth awarded a construction
contract for the CSAH 9 / I-494 Interchange Project (SAP 155-020-020 tied to 027-609-
038) which included funding from the State Transportation Fund for Local Road
Improvement Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that the City of Plymouth does agree to the terms and
conditions of the grant consistent with Minnesota Statutes, section 174.52 and will pay
any additional amount by which the cost exceeds the grant funds and will return to the
Minnesota State Transportation Fund any amount appropriated for the bridge but not
required.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the appropriate the Mayor and City Manager are
authorized and directed to enter into a grant agreement and any final edits and
amendments thereto with the Commissioner of Transportation concerning the above
reference grant.
