C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-148
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR THE
CSAH 9 / I-494 I NTERCHANGE P ROJECT (ST190003)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the CSAH 9 / I-494
Interchange Project (ST190003), bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to
State Law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Total Schedule A, B, & C
Lunda Construction Co. $13,500,591.82
Engineers Estimate $11,924,249.55
WHEREAS, it appears that Lunda Construction Co. of Coates, MN, is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Lunda
Construction Co. of Coates, MN.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The appropriate City Officials are authorized and directed to enter into the
contract for the bid with Lunda Construction Co. of Coates, MN, in the name
of the City of Plymouth for the CSAH 9 / I-494 Interchange Project
(ST190003) in the amount of $13,500,591.82.
2. The project shall include 20% for design, administration, and contingency in
the amount of $2,700,100.00 for a total project cost of $16,200,700.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this project shall be from the
following sources:

C ITY OF P LYMOUTH MSA/L OCAL F UNDS $4,169,700

M N DOT SRC F UNDS $ 200,000
APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of May, 2019.
