R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-135
R ESOLUTION A WARDING THE C ONTRACT FOR THE 2020 M ILL AND O VERLAY
P REVENTATIVE M AINTENANCE – W ATER M AIN P ROJECT (ST209002)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2020 Mill and Overlay
Preventative Maintenance – Water Main Project (ST209002), bids were received,
opened, and tabulated according to State Law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Total Schedule A & B
New Look Contracting, Inc. $710,850.00
Valley-Rich Co., Inc. $898,557.00
Engineers Estimate $715,355.00
WHEREAS, it appears that New Look Contracting, Inc. of Rogers, MN, is the
lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to New Look
Contracting, Inc. of Rogers, MN.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The appropriate City Officials are authorized and directed to enter into the
contract for the bid with New Look Contracting, Inc. of Rogers, MN, in the
name of the City of Plymouth for the 2020 Mill and Overlay Preventative
Maintenance – Water Main Project (ST209002) in the amount of
$710,850.00.
2. The project shall include 5% for design, administration, and contingency in
the amount of $55,798.58 for a total project cost of $746,392.50.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this project shall be from the Water
Fund ($746,392.50).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of May, 2019.
