HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2019-080 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-080 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND O RDERING A DVERTISEMENT FOR B IDS FOR THE C ANDLELIGHT T ERRACE S TREET R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT C ITY P ROJECT N O. ST199001 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 12, 2019, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for improvement No. ST199001, the improvement of Candlelight Terrace Street Reconstruction Project including the streets east of CSAH 101, south of 30th Avenue, west of Jewel Lane, and north of 25th Avenue excluding 125 feet of 27th Avenue immediately west of Jewel Lane and 150 feet of Olive Lane immediately north of 25th Avenue by reconstruction of streets, installation of concrete curb and gutter, water main, and storm sewer, sanitary sewer repairs, and all necessary appurtenances, and has presented such Plans and Specifications to the Council for approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and on Quest CDN an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published three times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on April 11, 2019 at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Engineer and City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at 7:00 p.m. on May 14, 2019, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of March, 2019.
