HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2019-079 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-079 R ESOLUTION R ECEIVING P RELIMINARY E NGINEERING R EPORT, O RDERING P REPARATION OF P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND C ALLING FOR A P UBLIC H EARING FOR THE C ANDLELIGHT T ERRACE S TREET R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT (ST199001) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 12, 2019, a report has been prepared with reference to the recommended project area including the streets east of CSAH 101, south of 30th Avenue, west of Jewel Lane, and north of 25th Avenue excluding 125 feet of 27th Avenue immediately west of Jewel Lane and 150 feet of Olive Lane immediately north of 25th Avenue; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes reconstruction of streets, installation of concrete curb and gutter, water main, and storm sewer, repairs to the sanitary sewer, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on March 12, 2019; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated Candlelight Terrace Street Reconstruction Project, City Project No. ST199001, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $2,686,688.54. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 14th day of May, 2019, in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. 3. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of March, 2019.
