R ESOLUTION A UTHORIZING THE M AYOR AND C ITY M ANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A MULTI-AGENCY LAW ENFORCEMENT J OINT
P OWERS AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE M INNESOTA
I NTERNET C RIMES A GAINST C HILDREN T ASK F ORCE
WHEREAS, Minnesota has an Internet Crimes Against Children (MICAC) Task Force that
is coordinated by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA); and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is concerned about issues involving children and has
investigated Internet crimes against children occurring within the City; and
WHEREAS, participation in the Task Force has a significant benefit for the Police
Department including investigative and technical assistance, training, equipment, and
information.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the joint powers agreement with the Bureau of Criminal
Apprehension for the Minnesota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is approved and
the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the agreement.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of March, 2019.
