R ESOLUTION N O. 2019-054
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE P URCHASE OF A R EPLACEMENT T ANDEM
D UMP T RUCK W ITH R ELATED S NOW P LOWING E QUIPMENT
WHEREAS, there is approval in the 2019 CIP and 2019 budget to replace one tandem axle dump
truck with related equipment through the Central Equipment replacement fund; and
WHEREAS, the City may make purchases off the State of Minnesota contracts; and
WHEREAS, Boyer Truck has a contract with the State for this truck chassis meeting the City’s
specifications, contract #124639 T647; and
WHEREAS, Towmaster Inc. has a contract with the State for snow plow truck components and
accessories meeting the City’s specifications, contract #144750.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the purchase of one current model tandem axle truck chassis from Boyer Truck for
$121,000.93 and the related equipment to complete the truck with hauling and snow plowing/ice
control equipment from Towmaster Inc. for $129,500.00, with sales tax due to the state at registration
for the chassis of $7,865.60, for a total expenditure of $258,366.53 is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding shall be from the Central Equipment Budget (600-70-
760-76001-8100.500).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of March, 2019.
