HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1972-399VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH r Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 16th day of Il October, 1972. The following members were present: Mayor,Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Spaeth, Seibold and Neils. The following members were absent: None, if 3 Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: !j RESOLUTION NO. 72-399 ls' WHEREAS, this Council has received numerous expressions of concern from ?{residents regarding the speed limits on County Road 15 between County Road 1173 and Interstate Highway 494, and I WHEREAS, the character of this road, with many hills, blind corners, and curvesj is not conducive to the traffic loads placed upon it, and WHEREAS, the proximity of Sunset Hill Elementary School along this road and the numerous buses and ;.private vehicles making turning movements to and 1from County Road 15 accentuate the -`existing dangerous_consition, NOW;, THEREOFRE,,BE I'f.HEREBY-RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGEOF PLYMDUTH that this Council urges the Hennepin County-Oeard of. Commissioners to direct that appropriate traffic safety studies-ire:made along County Road 15 between Interstate Highway 494 and County Road '73 in order that the safety of the motoring public; as well as school children, may be ,promoted, and FURTHER that specific emphasis be placed ort 'the in stallation of four-way stop signs on County Road 15 at the intersections of Pi.neview' Land and Vinewood Lane. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was.duly seconded ' by Councilman Seibold, and -upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Spaeth. Seibold and Neils: The following voted against or abstained: None. Whereupon the Resolution was Ideclared duly passed and adopted.
