HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1972-290VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was !'held on the 21st day of August, 1972. The following members were ,{present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Spaeth, Seibold and Neils. ;;The following members were absent: None. Councilman Seibold introduced the following Resolution and ;;moved its adoption: c RESOLUTION NO. 72-290 WHEREAS, the Minneapolis Industrial Park has requested rezoning from I-1 to B-1 for property located at the Southwest corner of State Highway 55 ,and County Road 6, and WHEREAS, the Plymouth Village Planning Commission has held a public 1 hearing on this request and made recommendations to the Village Council, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE "VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH that the rezoning request by the Minneapolis Industrial ;'Park to change the zoning from I-1 to B-1 for property located at the South - !`,west corner of State Highway 55 and County Road 6 be and is hereby denied for the following reasons: 1. Differentiation between I-1 and B-1 districts should be upheld, 2. Rezoning in this case would clearly be spot zoning. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils and Seibold. The following voted against: Councilman Spaeth. The following abstained: Councilman Hunt. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. STATE OF MINNESOTA ) COUNTY OF HENNEPINSS. VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village of Plymouth. Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared ,the foregoing extract of the minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said Village held August 21, 1972 with the original thereof on file in my office, and the same is a full, true and complete transcript there- from.
