Morey's Seafood will move its corporate office
from Golden Valley to Plymouth
By Alex Van Abbema – Staff writer, Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal
Morey's Seafood International will move its corporate headquarters from Golden Valley to Plymouth.
Morey's Seafood International, a Golden Valley-based manufacturer of fish and seafood
products, will move its corporate office into a larger, renovated facility in Plymouth.
The 65,000-square-foot space is located at 2100 Xenium Avenue N. According to
Hennepin County Property records, Morey's bought the property in April 2018 for
$3,250,000.
According to marketing manager Michelle Waln, approximately 50 employees will move
to the new Plymouth facility. Morey's has operated in a 20,000-square-foot corporate
office, processing and distribution plant at 742 Decatur Ave N. in Golden Valley since
1988.
"Given our tremendous growth over the last several years, we were in need of a larger
facility," Scott Wickert, Morey's vice president of sales, said in a statement. "Moving into
the Plymouth facility will allow us to exponentially expand our current offerings, while
also increasing our broad line of custom processed and packaged seafood products."

Morey's distributes fresh, smoked and frozen fish to food service and retail businesses
across the United States.
Morey's was founded in 1937 near Motley, Minn., and will continue to operate its
flagship processing facility in that city. Beyond its presence in Minnesota, Morey's also
operates distribution centers in St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo.
