Plymouth Dog Park access detoured for construction Feb. 4-22
Plymouth, Minn. – Access to the Plymouth Dog Park, 17005 County Road 47, will be detoured Feb. 4-22
as the city rebuilds the north boardwalk in the park. The dog park will remain open during construction,
but access from the parking lot off County Road 47 will be closed. Users may enter the park via trails
from the south.
Users should park near Aspen Ridge Park, 5670 Garland Lane N., and take the trails north to connect
with the Northwest Greenway and the Plymouth Dog Park.
About the Northwest Greenway
The Northwest Greenway is a more than 350-acre reserve of land with a looping paved trail for walkers
and bikers. The Greenway includes trailheads, rest stops and amenities, including bicycle fix-it stations,
benches, drinking fountains, restrooms and more. The Greenway connects to regional and local trails
and is expected to reach substantial completion by the end of 2020. For more information and to view a
map, visit plymouthmn.gov/nwgreenway.
About Plymouth’s Dog Parks
The City of Plymouth has three dog parks – two are open year round and one is open seasonally during
the warmer months. Dog parks are open from dawn to dusk daily, unless closed seasonally, and contain
designated off-leash areas within the park space.
The city asks residents to be mindful of nearby pedestrians and private property – and to keep pets
within the confines of the off-leash areas. Plymouth Dog Park contains a fenced area for small dogs.
Dogs must be leashed prior to entering and leaving the park. Collars are to be worn and owners must
carry a leash for each dog at all times. Dogs may not be left unattended and must be supervised by an
adult at all times. For more information about the city’s dog parks, plymouthmn.gov/dogpark.
Cutline: Access to the Plymouth Dog Park will be detoured Feb. 4-22 for construction. Dog park users
should access the park via trails from the south, which connect Aspen Ridge Park to the Northwest
Greenway.
